People often ask, what drew you to highlight women’s and pelvic health?

As a Physical Therapist, my curiosity with Women’s Health grew from a place not understanding my own body and being unsatisfied with the lack of info for other ladies. Shortly after learning more about pelvic health physio I knew I wanted to learn more, educate and advocate for increased health information for females. TRUE HOLISTIC CARE includes screening and consideration of pelvic health for all, along with all the other important areas and parts of us.

I particularly enjoy lifting weights, gymnastics, ultimate frisbee and riding my bicycles! These days I move my body because I enjoy it and I am
focused on living a happy, healthy and active journey; I want to and will always be an athlete in my own given right and ability (And you can feel this way too). When I was younger I let the outside world pressure me into certain thoughts that resulted in actions that were not always the best for my health. I am sure you can relate; Thoughts that I needed to starve myself, work out for hours on end, and needed to look a certain way to be
accepted by people.

My mindset is different now and I am grateful those in my life that have supported by journey personally, ultimately influencing me professionally!

My keen interest in women’s and pelvic health has been followed up with specialized courses specific to working with women of all ages and stages of life! It is a pleasure to support the goals of women who wish to live confident, empowering, symptom-free life!

I am also passionate about being an educator. In spare time I am a teaching assistant for Antony Lo, The Physio Detective and have assisted with his course The Female Athlete. Antony is one of my mentors and is a great role model for healthcare professionals with the desire to work with women who want to exercise while considering the clients pelvic health.

I acknowledge that we live and work on Treaty 6 territory, the traditional territory of the Cree, Saulteaux, Stoney, Nakota and Dakota people, and the traditional homeland of the Métis.

It is immensely important to me that all people feel safe and supported on their journey towards health and fitness. If there are approaches you wish me to take, I will do my best and if there are resources you wish me to review prior to our appointment, please bring them to my attention.
